Is trí mheán an Bhéarla den chuid is mó a fheidhmíonn Ollscoil Luimnigh. Tá dul chun cinn suntasach déanta ag an Ollscoil maidir le soláthar seirbhísí trí mheán na Gaeilge agus seirbhísí dátheangacha sa dá Scéim Ollscoile, áfach. Treisíonn Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla (Leasú) 2021 Acht 2003.

The University of Limerick operates primarily through the medium of the English language. However, the University has made significant developments over the duration of two Schemes in its provision of Irish medium and bilingual services.  The new Official Languages (Amendment) Act 2021 strengthens the 2003 Act.

Táthar chun caigheáin nua náisiúnta a dhréachtadh sa Roinn. Tiocfaidh forálacha nua an Achta i bhfeidhm sna míonna amach romhainn.

New national languages standards are being prepared and the Act's new provisions will be implemented over the coming months.
