The Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) is the research centre in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. MACSI is a network of mathematical researchers at the University of Limerick in Ireland. We aim to foster a collegiate and supportive environment, encouraging research within and across all disciplines.

MACSI is focused on both working with scientists and industrial companies as well as working on inter-disciplinary problems with other academics and public bodies with an emphasis on solving real-world problems. We have active collaborations and research projects in fields ranging from Arts to Zoology.

We strive to offer an inclusive environment that supports those from within under-represented groups in our discipline, and from those with interests at the interface of mathematics and data science and industry.
