Sustainability Reporting

At the University of Limerick, sustainability is integral to our mission-driven framework. UL's sustainability reports offer transparent and detailed insights into environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, reflecting our dedication to sustainable development within and beyond our campus.

The University recognises the complexities involved in measuring and transparently reporting on sustainability. To address these challenges, we are piloting a university digital twin of our campus, a cutting-edge tool designed to enhance UL's ability to monitor and manage sustainability initiatives. While it is not yet ready for a full rollout, this pilot represents a forward-thinking approach to sustainability management.

Our reports highlight ongoing efforts to reduce the University's carbon footprint, improving resource efficiency, engaging with the community, and upholding ethical governance. Each report is prepared in accordance with global standards and frameworks, ensuring that stakeholders can easily understand and track progress. Below, you will find a variety of reports:

  • Narrative-based reports: These seek to bring to life the real impact our campus community is having.
  • Data-based reports: These measure our carbon footprint and identify a series of projects between now and 2030 to help us reach our target reduction, outlined in our Climate Action Roadmap 2030.
  • Strategic documents: These demonstrate campus-wide alignment with our sustainability goals.
