KBS International Focus

An international focus in all relevant areas of KBS activities is one of the major goals of the KBS strategic plan. This recognises the growing dependence of our students, in particular, and of Irish society, in general, on international linkages. More of our students now seek employment in other countries than did so in the past, and those who secure employment in Ireland will be increasingly dependent on international business. Furthermore, the number of international students on our programmes continues to grow. Our responsibility as global citizens requires a new international focus. KBS support this by internationalising all relevant aspects of our activities.

International Collaborations

The KBS has 83 exchange partners (57 in Europe and 26 outside of Europe) that include some of the most prestigious and highly ranked Business Schools in the world - 27 of our European partners were ranked in the Top 90 European Business Schools by the Financial Times in 2016. View a full list of our current partnerships. The KBS is a member of a number of key international organisations including the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM). The School also signed up in 2008 for the UN's initiative on responsible management education - Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and was the first Irish Business School to do so.

International Accreditations

The BBS (and BBS with French, German or Japanese) and the MBS in Human Resource Management currently hold EPAS accreditation. EPAS is an international programme accreditation system operated by EFMD. It aims to evaluate the quality of any business and/or management degree programme that has an international perspective and, where of appropriately high quality, to accredit it.

The Corporate MBA programme holds AMBA accreditation from the Association of MBAs. AMBA accreditation is the global standard for all MBA programmes and represents the highest standard of achievement in MBA business education. Just over 200 MBA programmes worldwide have achieved AMBA accreditation putting the KBS in an elite tier of top Business Schools.

The KBS is also a member of AACSB and is well advanced on the AACSB accreditation track.
