Limerick citizens and the European Union: Where do we go from here?

September-November 2018

This series of events is a new initiative which aims to engage Limerick citizens in the debate about the future of the European Union. While increasing the visibility of the European Union, the series’ main purpose is to create spaces where citizens’ own views, experiences, hopes and fears about Europe and the EU, and Ireland’s place within it, can be articulated. The events deliberately go beyond the political and economic spheres which tend to dominate discussions about the EU and will also include social and cultural aspects.

The series is organised by the Centre for European Studies at the University of Limerick in co-operation with the Belltable and the Hunt Museum. It is an element of the EU-wide consultation process on the Future of Europe initiated by the European Commission last year and is supported by the Irish Government’s Communicating Europe Initiative.

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND EVERYBODY IS WELCOME
