Biography

Dr. Vincent O'Sullivan is an Associate Professor of Economics at University of Limerick. Vincent is module convener and lecturer for EC4044 Applied Economic Analysis for undergraduates and EC6081 Health Economics for postgraduate students. He is Course Director of the Bachelor of Business Studies.

From 2014 to 2021, he was a lecturer in Economics at Lancaster University where he mostly taught health economics. Between 2010 and 2014, he was a research fellow at The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing.

His main strand of research examines the effect of environment, policy, and behaviours on the well-being of older people. Another strand of research, arising from his PhD, examines the determinates of educational outcomes. His research has featured in print and broadcast media in major outlets such as the BBC and The New York Times. Since 2019, he has been a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA), formerly known as the UK Higher Education Academy.
