UL and its Department of History will hold a special public event and panel discussion on 5 October to reveal new information on the search for the remains of Patrick Sarsfield, Jacobite hero of 1690s Limerick by Dr Loic Guyon, Consul Honoraire de France in Limerick.
Dr Guyon, joined by a panel of experts, including the Frank Coyne, project archaeologist; and Helene Dingreville, project geneticist, as well as Ms. Stéphanie Ratz representing the town of Huy and Dr Pat Daly, the CEO of Limerick City and Council, will reveal new information and discuss what might happen should Sarsfield’s remains be found
