The School of Law was delighted to host the A & L Goodbody Moot Court Competition once more on Thursday, March 21st, 2024. UL remains dedicated to fostering collaborative relationships with employer partners to offer students enriching experiential learning opportunities. We extend our heartfelt appreciation, especially to A & L Goodbody and Dr. Stephen King, for their invaluable support of this initiative. Dr. King, a graduate of the Law School and a senior associate in ALG's Disputes & Investigations Group, kindly agreed to judge the moot again this year, offering a stimulating yet enjoyable experience for students.
The winners on the evening were Wiame Kanane, third year Law & Accounting, Emma Wright, second year Law Plus, and Adham Mahdy, third year Criminal Justice. Their worthy opponents in the Grand Final were Conor Crowley, John Luke Brody and Liam O'Domhnaill, all of second year Law Plus. It is always wonderful to see a broad range of years and courses get involved in extra-curricular activities, especially one which demonstrates so many valuable legal skills. Emma Wright was also recognized as the best individual speaker on the night.
