The School of Law is delighted to share the great news that last Friday, Saoirse Enright was awarded her PhD for successfully defending her thesis, entitled ‘The Contribution of Mr Justice Brian Walsh to Judicial Decision-Making and the Role of the Judge in Irish Law’.

It was examined by Dr Tom Hickey of DCU and Professor Paul McCutcheon and chaired by Dr Laura Donnellan.

Dr Enright has previously been published in RTE Brainstorm for her opinion on Article 41.3's impact on church state relations, and contributed to an Irish Council for Civil Liberties report on the Judicial Council Act 2019.

We would like to wish her the best as she begins a Newman Fellowship Postdoc in UCD in the New Year.
