Dr Alan Cusack Appointed to Management Committee for COST Action on Effective Interviewing

In June 2023, Dr. Alan Cusack from the School of Law at the University of Limerick, was appointed to the Management Committee of a major international COST Action project which is aimed at elevating investigative interview techniques.

COST Action CA22128 - Establishing Networks to Implement the Principles on Effective Interviewing for Investigations (IMPLEMENDEZ) is set to commence in October 2023 and it will conclude in October 2027. The project has been designed to encourage the creation of networks of researchers, practitioners and policy makers in order to facilitate a wider implementation of the ‘Mendez Principles’, ending cruel and inhumane practices that have adversely affected so many lives through unethical interrogations. 

The Chair of the COST Action is Professor David Walsh (DeMontford University) and Dr. Cusack is joined on the Management Committee by Professor Yvonne Daly (DCU) as the Irish representatives for this project.
