On 18 September 20224, the Irish Mendez Centre for Investigative Interviewing was launched by Dr. Alan Cusack (School of Law, University of Limerick) and Prof. Yvonne Daly (School of Law and Government, DCU).
The establishment of the Centre marks the beginning of a pioneering and exciting collaborative enterprise between the School of Law at the University of Limerick, the School of Law and Politics at Dublin City University, a range of state bodies and an international network of scholars and practitioners committed to promoting best practice in investigative interviewing.
The Irish Mendez Centre for Investigative Interviewing will act as a dynamic hub for all those who work in investigative interviewing, as well as policymakers and related researchers. At its core, the Centre will seek to promote the implementation of the Mendez Principles through organising training and information events, providing relevant public commentary and engaging in research on relevant matters with a variety of stakeholders. The Centre is supported by the COST programme as part of the ImpleMéndez Action (CA22128).
