Dr Laura Cahillane at EU Parliament committee meeting

On Thursday Dr Laura Cahillane attended a meeting with the Constitution Affairs Committee (AFCO) of the European Parliament, as part of their visit to Ireland.

Dr Cahillane was invited to advise the Committee on constitutional issues relating to referendums and constitutional amendments in Ireland to comply with EU treaty changes, and the recently voted AFCO Treaty Change Report, which proposes major institutional changes to the European Union structures and processes.
