Google visit to School of Law

The School of Law hosted the top legal team from Google in Ireland. Dr. Stephen King (UL Law graduate) and Mr Lorcan O’Flaherty (UL Law graduate) gave fascinating presentations in the A&L Goodbody court on ‘Ireland as a Regulatory Hub’ and ‘Issues around Online Content’ respectively.

The afternoon culminated in a ‘fireside chat’ between Ms Sinead Eaton and Ms. Ruth Murphy, General Counsel at Google Ireland. Ruth generously shared her insights and experiences as a General Counsel for a multinational technology company to the student audience. Their response was very appreciative and the school extends its thanks to the visitors for their contribution.
