IRC New Foundations

Congratulations to Dr Alan Cusack and Andrew Lacey (PhD) who have been awarded New Foundations funding for their Crisis Intervention Team project. The project aims to inform the design and implementation of a Crisis Co-intervention Team in Ireland.

It also represents a constituent element of An Garda Síochána’s realisation of the procedural reforms recommended by the Commission on the Future of Policing in Ireland (2019). On 21 April 22 UL will host a Round Table Symposium lead by international experts in crisis intervention on the needs of vulnerable persons when interacting with law enforcement
