Superintendent Dr. Andrew Lacey (An Garda Síochána & University of Limerick), Dr. Alan Cusack (University of Limerick) and Ms. Bláithín O’Shea (University of Limerick), were recently invited to deliver a guest seminar as part of the Northern Police Research Webinar Series.
The seminar was entitled, ‘Human Rights, Policing and Mental Health: Implementing a National Community Safety Co-Response Model in Ireland’ and it focused on the background to, and features of, the co-responder scheme which is shortly due to commence on a pilot basis in Limerick.
The international Northern Police Research Webinar presents recent research in the field of policing for researchers, practitioners and other interested parties in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The Police University College and the Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR) are responsible for the practical arrangements of the webinar series.
