The School is delighted to announce that Lorraine Barron successfully defended her PhD thesis earlier today.
Lorraine’s thesis, ‘The Management of Post-Release Sex Offenders in Ireland: Balancing the Ethos of Control and Risk with a Restorative Justice Response’ was examined by Professor Anne-Marie McAlinden (External Examiner) Queen’s University Belfast and Dr Margaret Fitzgerald-O’Reilly (Internal Examiner) UL. Lorraine’s joint supervisors were Dr Susan Leahy and Dr Ger Coffey. The viva was chaired by Eoin Quill.
