Discussion Groups and One-to-one Sessions
Our popular discussion groups and one-to-one sessions provide students with the opportunity to develop their listening and speaking skills in their target language. The discussion groups are a relaxed and informal way of practising your target language and meeting new people. They are also particularly useful in the lead-up to oral exams!
We recruit and train peer-facilitators who are native speakers of French, German, Japanese, and Spanish to lead these weekly sessions. The content of these sessions can be tailored to students' needs and goals, but popular topics of conversation include culture, music, daily life, etc.
If you are interested in becoming a peer-facilitator, please contact catherine.jeanneau@ul.ie.
Game Sessions
Practise your French, German, Japanese, and Spanish by taking part in one of our game sessions! These games are also lead by our peer-facilitators and are a great way of developing communication skills in a fun and informal setting. We have plenty of games to choose from and are always open to new suggestions!
