The School of Modern Languages & Applied Linguistics welcomes back Rían Murphy, BA in Applied Languages (Graduate 2018) to talk about his career path and what his job entails.

Rían Murphy is from Limerick and graduated with a First Class Honours from the BA in Applied Languages at the University of Limerick (studying French, German and Irish) in 2018.  He then went on to complete the MA in Conference Interpreting at the University of Galway and has been working as a staff interpreter with DG Interpretation of the European Commission since June 2020. He interprets from Irish, German and French into English.
