The German section of the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics have been very fortunate to welcome Constanze Parzich to the German Section as our Theatre Pedagogy intern this year. Constanze (supported by our OeAD Austrian Lector Johannes Vith, and Dr Anita Barmettler) has been working for some months now with the first-year students of German to put on a performance of Die Nacht so groß wie wir by Sarah Jäger, adapted by Salome Dastmalchi.
Two performances (in German, with English surtitles) will take place on Thursday, 13 March in the Jonathan Swift Theatre (B1-023). We would love to see as many of you there as possible! For more information, please see the summary below and the attached poster.
Morning performance starts at 11.30am and is designed primarily for students from local schools
Evening performance starts at 7pm and is designed primarily for UL students and the general public
You are welcome at either performance (or both!). No registration needed. The play lasts approximately 70-80 minutes.
We look forward to seeing as many faces as possible to support our students!
Summary of the play:
On the day of their graduation, five close friends decide to face their "monsters" and let go of their youth. To do so, they have to overcome personal hurdles that put their friendship to the test.
