Margaret Grene

Margaret Grene is a University Teacher in Technical Communication and Instructional Design at the University of Limerick.

Prior to joining the teaching staff at UL, she has worked across the university in a number of roles, most recently as Editorial Manager for the peer reviewed Political Psychology journal.

During her professional career she has worked in software development, technical communication and software quality. She has also played a leadership role in EU funded pan-European research projects.

Margaret is a member of plain language international and is in the process of completing her doctoral research in technical communication at UL.

Her research interests include e-learning, instructional design, plain language in technical communication, health communication, health literacy, adult literacy and accessibility. Her publications focus on the role of plain language in health literacy and health promotion.
