New Irish language term 'idirmheánúlacht'

Sorcha de Brún as Scoil na Gaeilge, an Bhéarla, & na Cumarsáide has created a new Irish Language term.

'Irmheánúlacht' a term for the new field of research on intermediality in Irish. Proposed and accepted by the National Terminology Database for Irish and An Coiste Téarmaíochta (the Terminology Commission) for téarma.ie. 

Reportedly over 3,000 new Irish words are created yearly. These terms can be accessed on Tearma.ie, a project funded by Foras na Gaeilge, the body responsible for the promotion of the Irish language.
