Vincenzo Oliveri
Primary Research Pillar: Energy and Environment
Research Area: Computational Mechanics, Composite Materials, Aerospace Structures
Dr Vincenzo Oliveri gained his M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Palermo in 2013 and his Ph.D. in Composite Structures at the University of Enna in 2016. The research carried out during his Ph.D. focused on the development of new analysis tools for the nonlinear analysis of composite thin walled structures. He was one of the first members to join Professor Paul Weaver’s research group, VariComp at the Bernal Institute in January 2017. Within this role, he carried out research in the field of computational mechanics and design of composite lightweight structures.
Vincenzo was appointed Lecturer in “Mechanical and Space System Engineering Design” at the School of Engineering, UL in August 2019. His current research activities span the design and manufacture of advanced aerospace structures and the modelling of multi-stable composite shells for novel smart and multifunctional lightweight structures.
