In 2024, Ronni M. Greenwood was appointed Associate Vice President – Student Engagement for University of Limerick, Ireland. Ronni is a graduate of the City University of New York Graduate School and University Center (CUNY-GSUC; PhD, 2005).
Ronni completed her PhD in Social-Personality Psychology and has expertise in the intersectionality of social identities, social identity complexity, and intergroup relations. Her research in this area focuses on the ways in which people make sense of social structures of privilege and disadvantage shape intergroup relations on a continuum from solidarity to conflict.
Ronni joined the University of Limerick in 2008. Prior to that she worked in University of Dundee, Scotland, and Cardiff University. While completing her PhD in New York City, she worked at Pathways to Housing as the Assistant Director for Research on the New York Housing Study, which was the first randomised trial of the Housing First approach to ending long-term homelessness. Ronni is an internationally recognized expert on the effect of homeless services configuration and delivery on the recovery experiences of adults with histories of homelessness and complex needs. Ronni was a co-investigator on the Horizon2020-funded project, “Homelessness as Unfairness”, a study of the ecology of homelessness in eight European countries (2016-2019). She served as the PI for the National Housing First Implementation Evaluation (2020-2023). A Programme Implementation and Evaluation Consultant, she works with statutory and voluntary organizations to assess and improve the effectiveness of homeless services.
