Ann Marie Kennedy is the Accreditation, Quality, and Compliance Officer in the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences. She has worked at UL (formally NIHE) since 1986, where she started as an administrator/Graphic Design Assistant in the Audio-Visual Unit as part of the Information Technology Department at UL. She progressed through various departments at UL, Senior Administrator in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Special Projects Officer at the Kemmy Business School, and Risk Management Officer in the Corporate Secretaries Office, and she currently works with the Faculty of Education and Health Sciences. During her time at UL, she has witnessed and embraced a lot of changes and growth in the university and working environment.
Ann Marie has always been interested in professional and personal development. As a mature student between 2015 and 2020, she graduated from the University of Limerick with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Diploma in Business Studies, a BSc in Management Practice, and an MA in Technical Communication and E-Learning. She has taken advantage of opportunities to develop her skills and knowledge over the years. She participates in the UL Mentoring Scheme as a mentor, where she enjoys mentoring and supporting staff with their career advancement. It gives her great satisfaction and joy to see people flourish, grow, and achieve their career and personal goals.
Ann Marie actively leads and participates in several local community groups, genealogy, and history projects, and writes a local history blog about her parish, Effin. She is keenly interested in all aspects of Irish culture, arts, music, and the GAA. She spends her leisure time participating in local drama and music sessions and touring Ireland in their VW campervan.
