Shiún Power possesses an LLB in Law & Business from Trinity College Dublin and a Master's degree in Taxation from the University of Limerick. Additionally, Shiún is a certified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, accredited by Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Irish Tax Institute, respectively.
Shiún has significant experience advising multinational corporations on their global tax structures, both as an external advisor and an in-house tax professional. She started her career by working in practice and advising global multinational clients on their tax planning strategies. Through this work, she developed a deep knowledge base in the area of international taxation and cross-border transactions.
Additionally, Shiún is highly skilled in risk management, governance, and controls, with extensive experience advising clients on creating robust internal frameworks to manage these areas. Given the rising focus on transparency reporting and ESG in recent years, Shiún has expertise in formalising and documenting internal risk, governance, and control frameworks to enable easier reporting.
In recent years, Shiún has worked within large scale multinationals as an internal tax advisor. She continues to advise on global restructuring and tax planning projects, while also focusing on risk mitigation and compliance with the internal control environment.
