The Civic Engagement Scholarship is valued at €1500 and is awarded to a first-year student, for one year only. It is open to all disciplines. Applicants will have participated in civic programmes like Gaisce or any programme that demonstrates civic engagement. The application process with be an online application form and will be based on the student’s level of civic engagement and their plans for future civic engagement.
The aim of the scholarship is to contribute to building global citizenship skills in enabling student leaders to take on community action.
Along with financial support, the successful candidate will also avail of training and hands-on skills development workshops, access to specialized conferences and networking, hands on experience with the President’s Volunteer Programme and insight across a wide range of nonprofit, humanitarian and social justice programmes.
