Prof Norelee Kennedy, Full Professor of Physiotherapy and Vice President Research at the University of Limerick. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin (BSc Physiotherapy (1999); Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics (2000); PhD (2004), Norelee leads a successful programme of research in the field of rheumatology/physiotherapy supported through Irish Research Council, Health Research Board and European funding. In 2018 she was awarded a Health Research Board grant under the DIFA scheme that examined the feasibility of a physiotherapist led behaviour change intervention to promote physical activity in people with rheumatoid arthritis. She is a former Head of the School of Allied Health (2014-2019).
In her role as Vice President Research Norelee has responsibility for the research affairs of the University and provides leadership in the formulation, development and delivery of the University’s research strategy and policy. She is a member of the University’s Executive Committee and a board member of UL Alumni and the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT).
