The 24Hr Sustainability Challenge is an exciting event organised by the UL Environmental Committee to raise awareness of the role we all play in building a sustainable campus community.
From 12pm on Thursday 20th of February through to 12pm Friday 21st, multidisciplinary student teams from across the University will explore a specific theme. During the 24 hours the teams will employ their creativity and problem-solving skills to create fresh, innovative ways of addressing it. Facilitators and a unique toolkit will help the teams move through the process and keep them energised, especially during the night. At the end of the event each team will pitch their ideas, using prototypes and props, to an expert panel.
The main aims are to do something amazing in a short sharp burst, have lots of fun, try out new ways of working and make new friends. It’s a fantastic opportunity to go beyond disciplinary comfort zones, be introduced to new working processes by collaborating with people who\\\'ve never met before. And if we can change the world, or at least start with the UL campus, then all the better!
