Mary Heuston began her career in UL in 1998 and has since worked across three Faculties: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS), the Kemmy Business School (KBS), Science and Engineering (S&E) and now Education & Health Sciences (EHS). Mary graduated from UCC with a BA in Sociology and Psychology and has completed the MSc in Work and Organisational Behaviour in UL.

Reporting to the Executive Dean, the Faculty Manager is a key Faculty interface with senior University staff and central services managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Faculty Manager has responsibility for the leadership and management of the faculty’s administrative functions. This includes the development of processes, procedures & systems critical to the assurance of academic and administrative quality. The Faculty Manager also has direct input into policy formulation and ensuring policies and procedures are implemented to the University’s standards in the context of strategic planning, resource planning and budgeting for the faculty and the broader HR function.

The Faculty Manager is a member of the Faculty’s Senior Management Committee, Faculty Board and University Management Committee.
