Verity is originally from Australia, where she spent over 12 years working with one of the country’s largest construction companies, including five years in Pre-Construction Management.
In 2017, Verity relocated to Ireland and, in 2019, joined the Health Sciences Academy (HSA) as Personal Assistant to the HSE Midwest Chief Academic Officer. In this capacity, she provided critical administrative support in the establishment of the Midwest Vaccination Centres and the Immediate Care Facility at the University of Limerick during the COVID-19 pandemic. She progressed to the role of CERC Building Manager at University Hospital Limerick in 2021 and, in 2022, was appointed NDTP (National Doctors Training and Planning) and HSA Coordinator.
In her current position, Verity works closely with the Chief Academic Officer, NDTP Training Lead, and HSA Manager, providing essential administrative support and project management for various training programs and initiatives. Her key responsibilities include project management for the Junior Health Sciences Academy initiatives such as the Care Aware Crew programme and Early Careers Events, as well as coordinating the annual NCHD Conference. Additionally, Verity along with her colleague Mairead de Brun and NCHD Leads manage initiatives aimed at enhancing NCHD wellbeing, workplace environments, and overall conditions.
Verity completed a Certificate in Management from the University of Limerick in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Healthcare Management.
