Design Week 2024

As part of Design Week, Transition Year students were invited to the PDT Soft Modelling Studio, to participate in a hands-on design workshop. Led by lecturers in Product Design and Technology, with the help of student volunteers, TY groups were introduced to the design process used by professional designers to address real world issues.  This year’s Design Week workshops focused on designing and creating utensil handles for individuals with weak or unsteady grips.

The TY Design Workshops provided students with valuable insights into the process of designing and creating inclusive, accessible products to address everyday challenges.
