Two three-credit modules are available for any programme across the university with international students for whom English is a second language. The modules are hosted by the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistic.

These classes will offer invaluable English language support throughout the academic year in UL. The classes are designed to provide International students with the necessary support needed to improve speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. The classes will also provide guidance on thesis writing and exam skills.

 

Module Assessment: Pass/Fail

Full attendance, participation and assessment task on completion. On completion students will be awarded 3 credits each semester. For further information contact Sean.Oconnell@ul.ie

 

Spring 2025
AW6012 Academic Literacies 2 for International Postgraduate Students (as a follow up to AW6001 from Autumn Semester) commences from Week 3 onwards.

It is an online Class for 2 hours per week and is currently scheduled for Mondays 13:00-15:00

 

International students wishing to register for this module, will need to visit the Student Academic Administration Dept. at the start of the semester and complete an additional module form.
