To spend a semester or year at the University of Limerick as a Visiting Student, you can apply through your home college’s Study Abroad office or through an approved study abroad programme provider.
The Spring 2025 applications are now open.
What documents will I need to provide?
To apply for the Freshman Programme you will need to provide:
- Your high school transcript
- Copy of your passport (photo page)
- English language certificate (if English is not your first language).
If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide a language test:
- CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B2
- TOEFL 550 (paper-based) 210 (computer based) / 80 (internet based)
- IELTS (minimum overall score of 6.0)
- The minimum requirement for Duolingo English Test (DET) is a score of 110.
