To spend a semester or year at the University of Limerick as a Visiting Student, you can apply through your home college’s Study Abroad office or through an approved study abroad programme provider.
What documents will I need to provide?
To apply for the Study Abroad Programme you will need to provide:
- Current official undergraduate degree transcript.
- Copy of your passport (photo page).
- English language certificate (if English is not your first language).
Entry requirements
Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of 2.9 from their current home university.
If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide a language test:

CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) B2.

TOEFL 550 (paper-based) 210 (computer-based) / 80 (internet-based).

IELTS (minimum overall score of 6.0).

The minimum requirement for Duolingo English Test (DET) is a score of 110.
