Lunchtime Seminar – 2018-2019 Fulbright Irish Awards
The 2018-2019 Fulbright Irish Awards period will open on 31st August, closing 31st October 2017. The Fulbright Program was set up by Senator J. William Fulbright in 1946 and is the largest U.S. international exchange program in the world. The Fulbright Irish Awards are grants for Irish citizens, or E.U. citizens resident in the Republic of Ireland for three or more years, to complete study, postdoctoral and professional research or foreign language teaching in the USA for a period of 3 months up to 1 year. UL has a long history of engagement with the Fulbright programme and successful applicants can greatly increase their professional and research network.
This talk by the UL Fulbright Ambassador (Dr Finbarr Murphy) and former Fulbright recipients (Dr Conor Ryan (CSIS) and Dr Jean McCarthy (KBS)) will highlight the benefits of the Fulbright award, as well as some practical tips for those who may be interested in exploring this opportunity.
Light lunch will be served at 12.45.
