Terms of Reference:

The Task Force recognises the responsibilities that the Operational Units of the University have for environmental issues (particularly Buildings and Estates). Working with these organisational units the Task Force expects to be able to do the following:

1. Liaise with relevant external/internal organisations/committees on environmental issues.

2. Contribute to ways that the University of Limerick can improve the environment for all. These would include increasing environment awareness and reducing levels of energy, waste and vehicle use.

3. Help to achieve an environmental cultural change of the UL campus community.

4. Create a network of communication to educate and inform students and staff about environmental issues.

5. Promote and develop realistic environmental initiatives.

6. Inform the campus community of the Environmental Task Force progress and/ or results concerning environmental issues at least annually.

7. Report to the UL Partnership Committee.
