Immram is a setting by Neil Ó Lochlainn for chamber ensemble, reciter, and singer of the Immram suite of poems written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and published in her collection Feis (1991). The music was commissioned by Paddy Bushe and the Amergin Solstice Poetry Gathering in 2019. The term 'Immram' meaning Voyage, is a type of tale found in mythological Irish writing that depicts a protagonist's sea journey to the otherworld and the adventures that ensue.

This musical suite seamlessly merges the sean nós tradition, jazz/improvised music, and contemporary chamber music, creating an innovative style of contemporary Irish music that is deeply rooted in Ireland's rich singing and dance traditions.

The performance features a stellar ensemble of highly regarded musicians: Eithne Ní Chatháin on voice, Lucia Mac Partlin on fiddle, Eilís Lavelle on harp, and Neil Ó Lochlainn on double bass and flute.

“Neil Ó Lochlainn has an instinct and a feel for different strands of music that allows him to create uncompromised musical worlds that speak with real depth and authenticity” Martin Hayes.
