Dreoite is a dynamic traditional Irish music group formed by five talented musicians: Rian McCarthy, Sorcha Hennessey, Aoife Ní Chonghaile, Jack Dilleen, and Eimear Clancy. The members met at Meitheal in 2022 and reconnected in 2023, leading to the creation of Dreoite, meaning ‘laidback,’ reflecting their easy going nature. The group has a rich background in competitive and performance music, with all members being part of numerous prize winning Siansa Gael Linn groups along with securing multiple All-Ireland medals in various instruments over the past few years. Together, Dreoite combines their extensive experience and passion for both traditional and classical music to create a captivating musical experience.
