Close to 1,800 students are graduating from 180 programmes across five ceremonies during Winter Conferring at University of Limerick this week.
Included among them are Munster and Ireland rugby star Dave Kilcoyne (Master of Science in Project Management) and All-Ireland winning Limerick hurler Tom Morrissey, who graduated with a Masters in Taxation.
UL President Dr Des Fitzgerald told this Monday’s ceremony that the graduating students would be equipped with “the principles and knowledge” that would allow them to build their future.
“I believe that a degree from UL has equipped you for that future, for an ambitious and successful life, it has schooled you in critical thinking and in the values that will help guide you.
“For all of you, the opportunity and the responsibility is the same; live your best life. Be the best example you can be,” Dr Fitzgerald said.
The conferring ceremonies continue this Tuesday. For more, see here.
