Brief Description
The MSc in Biomolecular Science will provide advanced knowledge in an area which underpins the Life Sciences and Biotechnology sectors. The course will focus on topics in molecular and cell biology and the impact of cellular dysfunctions in disease. The course will also encompass analysis of complex biological data (data analytics), advanced characterisation techniques, regulatory affairs and biophysics.

The aim of the programme is to:
- To provide students with a fundamental knowledge of molecular and cell biology; including advanced characterisation, data analytics and biophysics.
- For students to gain knowledge of the latest developments in this discipline, and learn new methods for analysing complex biological data.
- To improve students knowledge of regulatory affairs and safety in bio-industry, and immerse them into new research methodologies, report writing techniques and their application to discipline and industry focused projects

Applicants should normally have a primary degree (Level 8 - NFQ or other internationally recognised equivalent) with a minimum second class hons, in a relevant branch of science or engineering (e.g., Bioscience, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering).
Applicants who do not meet the requirements above may be considered under the University of Limerick Recognition of Prior Learning policy.
