Brief Description
This module will support the educator training needs of busy health professionals both locally and internationally. This module aims to give participants the confidence and skills to develop plans for improvement or change and to take leadership initiative for such changes
Participants will explore theories and models of leadership and management in the context of health professional education. They will reflect on institutional and personal leadership approaches and complete a work-based project within their own educational context.

A first or second-class Level 8 honours degree (NFQ or recognised equivalent), or equivalent prior learning that is recognised by the University as meeting this requirement, in a subject related to the health professions, education or management.

Evidence of a minimum of 2 years clinical professional experience in the health professions, education or management

The applicant must meet the University’s Minimum English Language Requirements for Taught Post Graduate Programmes
The only prerequisite for taking this module will be completion of the MSc HPE online induction programme which will be made available to students on registration for the module under the July Stimulus programme.
