Vaishnavi is a Chemical Engineer from India. Post completing her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT), Mumbai in 2020, Vaishnavi joined Prof. Vivek Ranade’s group at UL as a Ph.D. researcher in 2021. Her work aims at optimizing fluidic devices for anti-solvent continuous crystallization operations and developing a systematic methodology for the design and scale-up of these devices as continuous crystallizers. Further, the focus is on utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) and Population Balance Modelling (PBM) to study the effect of turbulence in fluidic devices, on the Critical Quality Attributes (CQA) of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) being crystallized.
Vaishnavi is a trained classical dancer and loves to spend time in nature when not in the lab.
