Students are receiving messaging about Brightspace and the supports available through various channels including emails from Academic Registry/ Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS), CTL, and ITD. A selection of the supports offered to students is listed below.

  • The Brightspace knowledge base has a dedicated section for students. This section provides a direct link to the Brightspace platform, a direct link to the ‘Introduction to Brightspace’ course for students, a link to knowledge base articles, and a link to log a call with ITD.
  • The Academic Registry (AR) Student Supports & Resources page has a link to the student knowledge base. The ITD website also links to Brightspace and the knowledge base.
  • A Brightspace-themed LevUL Up initiative will generate awareness of student supports for Brightspace. These daily drop-in sessions will be hosted from 12-1pm in the iZone space in the library, on weekdays from 12-29th September (weeks 1-3 incl.).
  • A Brightspace introductory video will loop in the library and KBS foyers for the first few weeks of term. Library Student Peer Advisors and F7W Coordinators will also be able to direct students to key Brightspace resources.
  • Short 1-minute CPD style videos on introductory Brightspace topics will be posted on the LevUL Up Instagram page.
  • The various student initiatives will be promoted on social media by F7W, Student Life, LevUL Up, and CTL, among others. Students not on social media will receive email notifications of the supports that are available (from CTL and ITD).
