There are many departments and teams offering assessment supports to UL staff and students. We have signposted to these supports below.

The Academic Integrity Unit have also developed resources to assist students when preparing for assessment. These resources can be found below.

Academic Success Toolkit

The Glucksman Library is committed to working with faculty to support the development of our students’ information skills and knowledge. As part of the Library's approach to supporting student learning we are delighted to launch the Glucksman Library’s Academic Success Toolkit for Assignments

The Library’s Assignment Toolkit on Brightspace is designed to support students through the process of completing written assignments. The Toolkit is a self-paced learning resource with a series of six units containing etivities and engaging interactive materials to teach students the key information literacy skills of finding and critically evaluating information and referencing sources. When students access the Toolkit they can choose to complete all six units (approximate completion time 120 minutes) or explore each individual unit as required.

This valuable resource is also available for faculty to use to support their students' learning. Please direct enquiries about the Glucksman Library Assignment Toolkit to libinfo@ul.ie

The Regional Writing Centre at UL offers a free and friendly place for all students (undergraduate and postgraduate) to come and address any aspect of their writing.

This resource is dedicated to helping students develop strategies to become more confident, critical and autonomous writers.

The Centre practices a non-invasive, inductive approach to writing development, utilising peer tutors and experts who work with undergraduate students, postgraduate students and staff respectively to identify their writing practices in order to assess and improve strategic effectiveness.

The Centre is also available to staff who are interested in developing their students' writing.

The Centre is relevant to all students who write, regardless of their discipline, and this article explains why.

The RWC website provides online links to writing resources, as well as access to video recordings of our How I Write, Ireland interviews, where prolific writers talk about their own process, their strategies and how they view their particular writing situations.
