The President’s Research Excellence and Impact Awards recognise staff across the University who have made outstanding contributions in the excellence and impact of their research.
There are two categories of Research Excellence and Impact Awards: Outstanding Research Collaboration and Early Career Researcher. The call for nominations is now open for the Outstanding Research Collaboration Award. The call for nominations for Early Career Researcher will open later in the year.
Outstanding Research Collaboration
This award celebrates the achievements of research collaborations by recognising their excellent research that delivers impact and an outstanding contribution to their field. Collaborations will differ among disciplines and can be composed of staff from all career stages as well as external partners and academic collaborators. Multidisciplinary collaborations are encouraged to be considered for the award. Eligible collaboration applications must be led by a University of Limerick staff member who is an employee of the University at the time of the award presentation.
Prize: President’s Research Excellence and Impact medal and €5,000 research funding.
Deadline for nominations: 5pm, Friday 23rd October 2020. (Now closed)
The President’s Research Excellence and Impact awards will be judged by the Research Impact Committee chaired by Professor Helena Lenihan, Kemmy Business School.
Nominations are made by email to researchimpact@ul.ie using the appropriate nomination form.
