This July, the Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick is thrilled to invite you to an immersive three-week journey into the heart of Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and Edge Computing. Dive deep into the technologies shaping our future, from autonomous vehicles and smart cities to data security and the ethical considerations of AI.
π Event Highlights:
- Expert Lectures: Learn from industry leaders and pioneers in smart technologies, exploring cutting-edge developments relevant to academia, industry, and the general public.
- Practical Projects: Engage hands-on with IoT projects in our state-of-the-art labs, utilizing tools like the Diligent Analog Discovery 2, Arduino, and TensorFlow, supported by Ireland-based international companies.

π Program Overview:
Week 1: Introduction to Io§T/Edge/AI, practical Arduino labs, and visits to key sites in Limerick and the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher.
Week 2: Dive deeper with industrial seminars, explore wireless networks and protocols, and enjoy cultural excursions to Kildare and either Galway or Kerry.
Week 3: Focus on AI and robotics, undertake a project showcasing your new skills, and conclude with presentations and demonstrations.
π Unique Experience: Each participant will be part of a team tackling a relevant IoT/Edge/AI project, from concept to design, guided by a UL mentor. Project themes range from wireless tracking and medical sensor monitoring to environmental monitoring and video tracking for autonomous vehicles.
