Alina Dubovskaya is an applied mathematician with a background in physics. She is interested in modeling physical systems, opinion formation and information spreading on networks. Her research methods include continuous/PDE modelling, perturbation methods and dynamical systems.
Prior joining UL she carried out research in Geophysics for 6 years for both Academia and Industry. She completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics at UL and a PhD in Geophysics in Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth. She has a BS and MS in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Research Interests: PDE modeling of physical and industrial processes, perturbation methods, dynamical systems, networks, opinion dynamics, fluid mechanics, geomechanics
