MACSI [Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry] is a network of mathematical researchers at University of Limerick in Ireland whose aim is to foster a collegiate and supportive environment, encouraging research within and across all disciplines. MACSI is focused on both working with scientists and industrial companies as well as working on inter-disciplinary problems with other academics and public bodies with an emphasis on solving real-world problems. They have active collaborations and research projects in fields ranging from Arts to Zoology and strive to offer an inclusive environment that supports those from within under-represented groups in their discipline, and from those with interests at the interface of mathematics and data science and industry. Recorded as part of UL Research Week 2024. See www.ul.ie/researchweek for more.
