MSc in Design for Health and Wellbeing 2022

This page celebrates the work of the MSc in Design for Health and Wellbeing students of 2021/2022. We invite you to take some time to browse the projects and get to know our graduates a little more. 

These are our 2^nd cohort of graduates from both our full-time and part-time MSc programme. In developing solutions, the students carried out robust user research and secondary research; engaged in collaborative and wide-ranging ideation sessions; and developed their design responses to a high standard. 

Projects span a wide range: from a digital, social & community based intervention of delivering mental health support at the frontline of humanitarian crises (Brett O’Mahony) to the development of a laparoscopic surgical simulator for teaching & practicing inguinal hernia repair (Dara Walsh); from design solutions to support the over 70s to remain in their own home to a device that ensures safe and error free insulin reservoir refilling, to a user interface for non-expert users to capture the bio measurements of patients to create bespoke mallet splints.
