‘SOCIAL FABRIC’ Lecture Series Autumn ‘24 / Spring ‘25 at School of Architecture and Product Design, University of Limerick CG-042 + City Studio: Creating an equitable and affordable city is fundamentally about establishing a base of housing that allows people to live with dignity, that is equitable, and that engenders a civil society. With the election of a mayor there is the possibility of new ideas for governing Limerick City to make our city more inclusive, sustainable and accessible, with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens broadly through urban regeneration actions as well as the creation of sustainable mobility networks and ecological infrastructures. We wish to look to the future of what an equitable and affordable city could be in terms of building the Civic City: the City of Ecology, the City of Community, and the City of Mobility.
